In the warm September evening, the professor of college Etan Lerner, his wife Grasse, and their daughter Emma visit a solo concert. Their 10-year-old son Josh plays a violoncello - beautifully, as usually. His younger sister looks at it, and parents are proud of the son. On a return way home, all of them stop on a gaz station at Reserved road. There, during one awful moment, it has disappeared from them, apparently, for ever.
